IT'S GO TIME :)

Hello and welcome to the Pilcher family. David and Lisa, married for 20 years, and 6 children, Tim ( 18 ), Matt ( 13 ), Stephanie ( 10 ), Nathaniel ( 9 ), Jamari ( 4 ), and Allie ( 2 ). Although we are already blessed to have six beautiful children, three biological and three adopted, we are still burdened for other children that need a family to call their own, Our hearts are drawn to a beautiful little four year old girl with special needs in a Ukrainian orphanage. My wife and I and all of our children are excited about giving a loving home to another child who currently has no family or home of their own. While we have enough love in our home to share with another child, we do not have enough money in our wallets to bring this little girl home without some help from others. That is why we are posting this request for help to finance her adoption. It is out of our comfort zone to ask for help like this but it is worth it if it helps make it possible to adopt this girl. Having already adopted three, we are quite familiar with the ups and downs and the costs of the adoption process. This adoption however will take us into new challenges as it is our first venture into international adopting. To adopt from Ukraine requires two lengthy trips to the country. Although we have not been to or adopted from Ukraine in the past , we have hosted orphans from Ukraine multiple times so we do have some familiarity with the Ukrainian orphanage system and we do know many key contacts in Ukraine to help us with the adoption process. So we have the heart to make this adoption happen but as already mentioned, we don't have all of the finances needed. All told, when you add up the costs, which includes paperwork fees, program fees, home study, facilitators, in country fees, travel expenses ( including significant lost work time ) and attorney fees, the total cost will likely exceed $25,000. That is why we are using this site as one of the many means to try and raise the money needed to make this adoption happen. We just ask you follow your heart, follow your convictions, abd follow your wisdom as you consider this need and what to give, if anything, to help.
